Using the Work Order Search window, you can search the work backlog for in-progress jobs and then select certain work orders for further processing. You can also enter a new work order or jump to the Event Notebook to enter a non-work order event that occurred.
Three buttons located at the bottom of the Work Order Search window allow you to jump to another window. The Work Order Search window remains open when you navigate to other windows. You also have the option of doing a work order search and selecting one or more of the displayed records before clicking on a button. You can use your window jump options to:
Go to several different windows
Create a quick work order
Print selected work orders, picklists, and/or permits
In the box at the top left of the Work Order Search window, you can enter a value for a full or partial work order number. This value becomes an add-on to the selection criteria built into the particular query being used.
To Perform a Search:

Optionally, click the dropdown arrow by the Query field to display and select from a list of available queries. |

Optionally, enter a full or partial value in the Work Order Number field. |

Click the Search button to execute the search and display a list of work orders that match the selection criteria. |

Double-click one of the records to display the related Work Order Notebook or select one or more of the displayed records. |
Note: Hold down the CTRL key while clicking on multiple records. If you have selected multiple records, you can navigate through the displays by clicking on the Next and Prior arrows.

Click the Go To button to further process the selected work orders by selecting one of the functions in the menu. |
Note: Do not use the Graphs function in conjunction with search results.
Click the magnifying glass (search) icon when displayed next to a work order field to open the Work Order Popup window, which allows you to search for another work order.
With the appropriate security privileges, you can use Public Queries, which are queries developed by other users that are made available to you by the system administrator. You can alter the format of the search results displayed by these queries; however, this new format is only visible to you and does not alter the format of search results viewed by other users.
By clicking the Wizard button, you can open the Query Wizard window to develop queries for your private use. You can select one of your custom queries from the Query dropdown list and then click the Search button to execute your query.
