When this option is selected, users can manually enter a voucher number when creating an invoice. An empty check box indicates that the user relies on the automatic numbering feature.

The length of a voucher number cannot exceed 20 characters including a prefix (if you choose to use one). You can choose from four basic numbering methods:

• Use Prefix and Sequence Number

• Use Date and Sequence Number

• Manually assign Numbers

• Use Sequential Numbers

Enter a prefix from one to five characters if you selected the option Use Prefix and Sequential Number.

This field is not required if you selected the Use Date and Sequential Number option. If you are using a prefix, enter the length of the numeric portion of the voucher number. Remember that the length of the prefix plus the length of the numeric portion cannot exceed 20 characters.

Enter a zero in this field if you want the voucher number to be the digit 1 preceded by leading zeros. Otherwise, enter a value for use in numbering the next voucher number assigned.

Select this option if you want to establish discounts in the Supplier Notebook on the Terms tab. The selection made by clicking one of the radio buttons in the box below this option will set the default discount method for the Supplier Notebook Terms tab. If Allow setup at supplier level is checked, the user can either take the default selected here or override it to select one of the other options. The options are:

Always apply regardless of date - Click on this button if you want discounts applied regardless of date.

Calculate discounts - Choose from the three options offered for basing the calculation of discounts: (1) based on invoice date,(2) based on date received for the material or service, or (3) based on current date.
