By assigning an Equipment-Serial Class to your equipment items, you can retrieve equipment items that have similar characteristics. You can create, change, or delete a class from the Equipment-Serial Class Valid Values window.
To Create an Equipment-Serial Class:

1. |
Click the Setup button on the TabWare Power Panel to open the Setup Power Panel window. |

2. |
Click the Validation Codes Valid Values button on the Setup Power Panel to open the Validation Codes Valid Values window. |

3. |
Select Equip-Serial Class from the Validation Codes block to open the Equip-Serial Class Valid Values window. |

4. |
Click the New button. |
|
5. |
Enter values for the Class and Description fields. |
|
6. |
Press the TAB key, and then repeat steps 2 through 4 to add another Class. |
|
7. |
Click OK after adding the last new Class. |
To Delete an Equipment-Serial Class:
|
1. |
Click the Class box for the Equip-Serial Class value to be deleted. |
|
2. |
Click the Delete button. |
|
3. |
A window displays with the message Warning - Are you sure you want to delete? |
|
4. |
Click Yes to delete the Class chosen. |
|
5. |
Repeat steps 1 through 3 to delete another Class. |
|
6. |
Click OK to confirm the deletion. |
To Update an Equipment-Serial Class:
|
1. |
Click on the Class box for the Equip-Serial Class value to be updated. |
|
2. |
Click on the Description box for the Class being updated. |
|
3. |
Enter changes to the Description. |
|
4. |
Repeat steps 1 through 3 to update another Class. |
|
5. |
Click OK to confirm the updates made. |
