From the Cycle Counting Control window, you can enter parameters and selection criteria to define the scope and speed of the cycle counting program, have access to information summarizing current progress against goals, perform actions to reset certain actual values for the current cycle, and exit to other cycle counting windows. Cycle counting occurs at the bin level.
TabWare allows you to define criteria for each stores location. Click on the dropdown arrow under the Stores Location field to select the location you are setting up.
Total Bin Counts in This Cycle
This is a read-only field that represents a system-calculated total of the number of bins defined by the Selection Criteria block that have not been counted this cycle plus the Number of Counts Already Made this cycle.
This is a read-only field that represents a system-calculated total for bin counts processed during this cycle through the Cycle Count entry function.
This is a read-only field whose value is calculated by the system by dividing the Number of Counts Already Made by the Total Bin Counts in This Cycle.
Click this button if, during a cycle, you alter the number of bins kept stocked, modify the selection criteria, or make changes to the Include/Omit Code Values window. As a result of the recalculation, you may see a new value for Total Bin Counts in This Cycle. This causes a display of new values for the Percentage Counted as well as the Cycle Count Parameters fields.
Clicking this button sets the Cycle Count Start Date to the next day’s date, sets Number of Counts Already Made to zero, and updates Projected End Date of This Cycle based on a new start date and the number of bins matching the selection criteria and Number of Items to Count Daily.
Cycle Count Parameters
If you enter a value in one of the three fields, the system calculates values for the other two fields. The calculation uses the current value for Total Bin Count in This Cycle.
Selection Criteria
The system decides which bins should be included in the program based on the values entered in this section. If you leave all fields blank, the system chooses all stock items on file. Regardless of selection criteria, TabWare always selects in order by bin number. You can define the criteria further by clicking the More button and entering values in the Include/Exclude Code Values window.
Include Previously Counted Bins
As a normal part of a regular cycle count program, this box is left unchecked. Put a checkmark in this box only if you want TabWare to recount bins that have already been counted during the current cycle.
