Under Custom Elements Definition, you have the option of defining an element as required but not validated. In choosing this setup, you may want to enter a list of suggested values to guide users as they enter actual values to an equipment location/serial number folder.
To Enter Suggested Values:

1. |
From the Custom Elements Definition window, click on an element to make it validated. |

From the Custom Elements Valid Values window, enter a list of values for the element marked as Validate Values. |
Note: The Custom Elements Valid Values window has at least three blocks titled Category, Work Order-All Elements, and a block at the bottom of the window that is titled either Valid Values or Recommended Values. The titles for this window depend on the category chosen. The block at the bottom of the window changes depending on whether the Validated checkbox in the Work Order-All Elements block contains an X.

Return to the Custom Elements Definition window and click on the Validated box for the same element to remove the X from the box. |

From the Custom tab of an equipment location/serial number, click on the arrow button for the chosen element. |

Click on one of the suggested entries or enter a new value. |

6. |
Click OK to accept entry of the values chosen. |
