An optional feature allows for multiple shipping addresses on purchase orders. The mechanism for using this option is based on the association of delivery areas (assigned on the requisition line) to a shipping address. The validation codes window for Delivery Area includes the selection of the shipping address for each defined delivery area. A dropdown list box of valid shipping addresses appears to the right of each description for ease of selection.
At the time the purchase order is created by transferring requisition lines, the shipping address associated with the delivery area will default to each purchase order line.
Note: If there is no association defined, the default shipping address defined in Purchasing Addresses will be assigned to the PO on the Terms tab.
The purchase order print will sort the PO by shipping address and lines, printing a new page for each break in shipping address.
