Linking Documents to a Shipping Order

You can link drawings or other documents to a shipping order using the Documents tab. You can reference the documents to a location on a computer database or to a physical location, such as a file cabinet. Click the Link button to add or revise document links. To view a particular document, double-click the row or highlight a row and then click the View button.

The document Type field defines the type of document being accessed. The Location field tells you where the document is stored.

To Establish a Link:

1.

Click the Links button on the Documents tab to open the Change Document References window.

Click the New button.

3.

Click Type to see a dropdown list. The types available are Adobe PDF, HTML, HTTP, MSWord and WSExcel documents.

Enter a description in the Description field.

5.

In the Location field, click the Browse button on the right of the screen, navigate to and select the document.

6.

Click OK to add the reference to the database.
